Black lives matter. Period.

We will not stop fighting until that is our reality in America.

 

We must do better.  We allowed this to happen. It's not enough to be angry, heartbroken or speechless. We've got to act, to strive to be actively anti-racist, to protest, to donate, to advocate and speak up — and to make room for BIPOC voices to be heard.

​

This is about owning our history,  being accountable for it — and owning our role in it today. This is about understanding that while there is nothing we can do to change that history, it is about how we can shape our shared future. Change doesn't always happen as quickly as we would like it to. But it doesn't happen without us, without you and without me.

​

Our hearts and our country are cracking open. Let us take the pieces and mend them back together to create a collective and steady beat of love that reverberates through every single one of us.  Let us grow stronger together,

 

hold each other accountable, be accountable ourselves — and love each other more because of it.

​

We will not always say or do the right thing, but we are committed to trying, to having the hard conversations, to holding ourselves to a much higher standard, to stepping into the discomfort and staying in it.

​

We are with you. Today and every day moving forward. Let's get to work.
